The Tallahassee MOAA Scholarship Foundation, Inc., awards college scholarships to high school seniors in the Tallahassee Florida area. To make a tax-deductible contribution to the Foundation send your check to: P. O. Box 3311, Tallahassee Florida 32315-3311.
JROTC cadets attending high schools in the following counties are eligible to apply: Leon, Liberty, Franklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, Madison, Taylor, and Wakulla counties in Florida and Grady and Thomas counties in Georgia. Previous Tallahassee MOAA Scholarship winners who are currently enrolled in a university ROTC program are also eligible. The deadline for submitting applications is 1 May.
Applicants for Scholarships must:
1. Be a U.S. Citizen.
2. Be a senior JROTC cadet who will have completed a minimum of three (3) years of JROTC upon graduation from high school
3. Provide a letter of scholarship recommendation from the senior military instructor.
4. Provide a letter of scholarship recommendation from at least two (2) academic teachers at the school (one must be an English teacher).
5. Have a letter of acceptance at an accredited Community College or University.
6. Have a minimum unweighted 2.5 cumulative High School GPA (Transcripts required)
