Where: Wakulla Springs State Park, Florida
Travel directions:

Wakulla Springs is located 15 miles south of downtown Tallahassee on Florida Highway 267. From Tallahassee, you can pick up State Road 61 at the old State Capitol building and drive south, then east on 267 to the park entrance. The park is about 5 miles east of Crawfordville, the Wakulla County seat. From the east or west, U.S. 98 is a good artery; Wakulla Springs is approximately midway between Apalachicola and Perry.

Forays: Day trips into the Apalachicola National Forest, especially the Leon Sinks area.

Guest mycologist: Dr. James Kimbraugh, Mycologist from the University of Florida at Gainesville, who is an authority on William Murrell's collecting in Florida, and has compiled Keys to the Fleshy Basidiomycetes of Florida, by William A. Murrell.
