PYREX FLAMEWARE

Here we have a large assortment of vintage Pyrex Flameware. This includes flameware coffee pots, flameware teapots, and flameware saucepans and double boilers.
FLAMEWARE glassware was produced from 1936 - 1979. It is distinguished from crystal glassware by the blue tint that it has, caused by the addition of alumino-sulfate in the production process.
This page includes percolators, tea pots, skillets, double boilers, etc. But...there's more! Be sure to look:

If you see something that is "on hold", feel free to ask us about the availability. We have had people say they want an item, and later change their mind.

Flameware Percolators - Part I The "Older" models |
Here are the earliest of the Pyrex Percolators. These were produced from 1938-52. The still make excellent coffee. If you want a vintage, and original, Pyrex percolator, you will find it here. |
| - |
| #7826 Pyrex 6 cup coffee pot - This is
the pot on the left. The water just "bumped" off of the lid and
into the basket! This is the oldest of the percolators (notice the straight, glass
handle and tab top), it was produced during the 1940s - this is the
"original" Pyrex percolator. Looks like the screw that holds the handle
has been replaced - it is about an inch long! $37.99 #7826 Pyrex 6 cup coffee pot (#7826) - This is the pot in the center. This unique percolator has a dark brown handle. This handle makes it almost "unique" among Pyrex percolators. These were produced during the end of the 7826 run. This was produced until 1952 - it's 50 years old and in immaculate shape! $36.99 #7826(??) Pyrex 6 cup coffee pot - This is the pot on the right. This looks like a #7826, but is unnumbered on the bottom. Above the Pyrex logo it says "A - 6", and below is an "X". It may be the result of an experiment!! The band is the snap-on type that makes cleaning easy. It may be an intermediate percolator between the older one on the left and the #775x line seen above and below. $36.99 |

| #7829 Pyrex 9 cup coffee pot. This is a nice percolator for
serious coffee drinkers. This nice, vintage piece is in excellent condition.
There is a chip out of one of the flanges of the lid, but that will not affect its
use. Nice old straight handle with glsss bumps on top and bottom. This is the
only one of these we have ever acquired!! SOLD Stem for #7829. We happen to have an extra stem for this percolator. It is tall, and will not fit any of the other percolators on this page!! (ON HOLD) |
|
Flameware Percolators - Part II The "Newer" models |
|
Here are the more "modern" percolators. These were produced from the early 50s to the mid 60s. They differ from the older models in the shape of the body and handle. They still make the same excellent coffee that the older models make. A close friend of ours purchased a 6 cup from us, and in addition to making wonderful morning coffee he boils his eggs in the percolator at the same time!! He says that they come out brown, but taste great. His pot does double-duty in the morning. Be sure to see the 1950s ads on this page to find out how many things you can do with your new coffee pot besides making great coffee. |

It also has an aluminum lid which will not chip!! $29.95 1 available.(On Hold) | |

Vacuum coffee makers |
|
If you have never seen a vacuum coffee maker you are missing a real treat. The water is placed in the bottom bowl, the grounds in the top. The water is boiled over slow heat until it all is in the top bowl. The maker is removed from the heat, and the vacuum caused by cooling pulls the water thru the grounds and back into the bottom bowl!! It is amazing! |

| Cory
coffee pot - This is a nice, all glass, 3 piece Cory
coffee maker. This was produced by Pyrex for Cory in the 1940s. The
bottom pot stands 5 1/2" tall. Together the two pieces stand 10 1/2"
tall! This is one of the older versions of this type of coffee maker, and is
advertised as a Royal Rubberless Brewer. There are no rubber gaskets, the top of the
bottom pot and the bottom of the top bowl are both ground - guess this made a sufficient
seal! Sold! We have a spare top bowl if you need it! It is in excellent condition, with only a few "fleas" at the bottom of the stem. This should not interfere with the brewing. $15.00 We have yet another spare top bowl if you need it! It is in excellent condition, with no "fleas" at all, and comes complete with a plastic stand - the rod fits into a plastic base so you don't have to worry about breakage!! $20.00 |
