Vintage glass sorted by Specialty

Here we have a large assortment of vintage Pyrex Flameware.  This includes flameware coffee pots, flameware teapots, and flameware saucepans and double boilers.  We have opened a Pyrex Museum.  It is filled with pre-WWII pieces (1915-1945) that you rarely see.  Enjoy it, and maybe even buy something from it!   We wanted everyone to be able to see some HTF piece of Pyrex.

FLAMEWARE glassware was produced from 1936 - 1979.  It is distinguished from crystal glassware by the blue tint that it has, caused by the addition of alumino-sulfate in the production process.

That's right, this page includes percolators, tea pots, skillets, double boilers, etc., all produced by Corning Glass with that wonderful creation called Flameware, the "refrigerator to stove to table" glassware.  We have whole pieces and parts (for those of you like Captain Larry, who seem to break these things easily).  To order:

Our address:  attic@nettally.com

If you want to place an order, please be specific about the item description.  If you want to ask a question, ask freely.  We will try to answer to the best of our ability.

If something is "on hold", that probably means that someone has expressed interest, but it is not yet sold, or we have listed it on an EBay auction.  Internet sales, including determining shipping, etc, usually take us a few days, including a few e-mails with our customers.   If you see something that is "on hold", feel free to ask us about the availability.  We have had people say they want an item, and later change their mind.

Cookbook
This is nice.  This is a Pyrex Prize Recipes cookbook published in 1953.  It is a hard cover book and is in very good shape for its age.  IT has 128 pages of recipes, and includes about 50 color plates of your favorite Pyrex cookware.   This is a "must" for the serious Pyrex collector.

Flameware Percolators - Part I

The "Older" models

Here are the earliest of the Pyrex Percolators.  These were produced from 1938-52.  The still make excellent coffee.  If you want a vintage, and original, Pyrex percolator, you will find it here.  These older models are interesting because Corning was not as 'organized' as when the later models came out (below).  Thus, much of the numbering and the variety of different parts makes for good collecting.  Notice that all of the pots here have different handles!!

#7826  Pyrex 6 cup coffee pot  -  The water just "bumped" off of the lid and into the basket!   This is the oldest of the percolators (notice the straight, glass handle and tab top), it was  produced during the 1940s - this is the "original" Pyrex percolator.

#7826  Pyrex 6 cup coffee pot (#7826) - This unique percolator has a dark brown handle.  This handle makes it almost "unique" among Pyrex percolators.  These were produced during the end of the 7826 run.  This was produced until 1952 - it's 50 years old and in immaculate shape!

#7826(??)  Pyrex 6 cup coffee pot - This looks like a #7826, but is unnumbered on the bottom.  Above the Pyrex logo it says "A - 6", and below is an "X".  It may be the result of an experiment!!  The band is gunmetal blue.

Flameware Percolators - Part II

The "Newer" models

Here are the more "modern" percolators.  These were produced from the early 50s to the mid 60s.  They differ from the older models in the shape of the body and handle.  They still make the same excellent coffee that the older models make.  A close friend of ours purchased a 6 cup from us, and in addition to making wonderful morning coffee he boils his eggs in the percolator at the same time!!  He says that they come out brown, but taste great.  His pot does double-duty in the morning.  Be sure to see the 1950s ads on this page to find out how many things you can do with your new coffee pot besides making great coffee.

#7754 Pyrex 4 cup coffee pot  - all glass except for the top & bottom of the basket.  This particular model was produced from 1952 until the mid 60s.  We have had a fair number of these, and... can't seem to keep them in stock!   Just the thing for that "short pot" in the morning.

$35.99

pyrex4cup2ad_small.jpg (1720 bytes)

#8854  Pyrex 4 cup coffee pot   - This was made in the 60s, and was the last of the glass percolators.   The basket and pump (stem) are glass (one small chip at top of stem which will not affect the operation), but this has a nice decorative wide aluminum band for the dark brown handle.  It also has an aluminum lid which will not chip!!

$29.95

#7756  Pyrex 6 cup coffee pot - all glass except for the bottom of the basket.  The water just "bumped" off of the lid and into the basket!   This is the most popular of the Pyrex percolators - we have a difficult time keeping them in stock.

$38.99

Py6Cup2.jpg (6736 bytes)

#7759  Pyrex 9 cup coffee pot - all glass except for the top and bottom of the basket.   Still makes beautiful coffee!  This is the "big boy" of the Pyrex percolators.

Early Flameware Saucepans

These are nice, small saucepans which have a 'one handle fits all' luxury.  You could have one or two handles in your kitchen with a variety of pans.  The  pans could go on the table or counter and the handle removed.  It also makes for very economical storage of the skillets - no handles sticking out!!  These are the 'original' flameware pieces.   They were produced by Corning beginning in 1936.

1 qt. saucepan.  It is numbered 832-B and is 7" across.  Just the thing for the "small" meal.    2 available.

$10.99

PySauce832.jpg (70298 bytes)

1 1/2 qt. saucepan.  It is numbered 833-B and is 8" across.  Slightly deeper than the above pan. 4 Available. $12.99

PySauce833.jpg (62042 bytes)

Flameware handles - These handles fit the #832 and #833 saucepans  and the 7" skillet above.  Buy some of these saucepans or skillets and you have a handle for ALL of them!  Once the handle is detatched you have a serving dish for the table.   $4.99 each.

Corning Glass didn't expect you to only use Flameware Teapots for tea!!  This picture from the 1953 edition of Pyrex Prize Recipes shows them being used for cooking squash, eggs, pasta, spaghetti, etc.!!!

Flameware Teapots

#8126.  This is a "vintage" tea pot.  This is #8126, and is a 6 cup pot.  Production of this teapot began in 1943, and continued only until 1952.   It was replaced by the model below - the handle was thicker and the lid was changed.  This is the "original" Flameware teapot!

$35.00

pythintea.jpg (21142 bytes)

#8446.  This is just a "nice" little tea pot.  This is #8446-B, and is a 6 cup pot.  It has a beautiful blue tinge that is typical of the Flameware line of Pyrex.   You will like this piece!  $31.00
