Vintage glass sorted by Specialty

Corning Glass Works has been producing Pyrex since 1915.  Our specialty is vintage Pyrex for your cooking and storage pleasure.  We have a large selection of Pyrex flameware, including flameware coffee pots, tea pots, sauce pans and flameware double boilers.  Our collection also includes a large pattern selection of Pyrex cookware, with a variety of mixing bowls, casseroles, and refrigerator dishes.  We have Complete Sets, vintage sets still in the original boxes, and individual pieces.  This page contains a large assortment of "vintage" Pyrex for kitchen uses.

We now have a Pyrex Museum.  It is filled with pre-WWII pieces that you rarely see.  Enjoy it, and maybe even buy something from it!  We wanted everyone to be able to see some HTF piece of Pyrex.

We do not produce Pyrex, we simply sell "old stuff."  If you have had a problem with your Pyrex, such as breakage, we cannot help you with "why" the piece broke.  We can however, attempt to help you replace the broken part.  We are not the manufacturers - we simply buy and sell vintage Pyrex pieces for fun!!

Our address:  attic@nettally.com

If you want to place an order, please be specific about the item description.  If you want to ask a question, ask freely.  We will try to answer to the best of our ability.

If something is "on hold", that probably means that someone has expressed interest, but it is not yet sold, or we have listed it on an EBay auction.  Internet sales, including determining shipping, etc, usually take us a few days, including a few e-mails with our customers.   If you see something that is "on hold", feel free to ask us about the availability.  We have had people say they want an item, and later change their mind.

If you 'click' on a pic, you will supersize it.   And ... unlike those fast food restaurants, it does NOT cost extra to supersize here!!

Cookbook
This is nice.  This is a Pyrex Prize Recipes cookbook published in 1953.  It is a hard cover book and is in very good shape for its age.  It has 128 pages of recipes, and includes about 50 color plates of your favorite Pyrex cookware.   This is a "must" for the serious Pyrex collector.

HC Fry Glass Co.

Corning gave the Fry Glass Company a license to product PYREX cooking glass in 1920.  The PYREX cooking glass was produced under the name Fry Oven Glass.  Fry described their glass as having 'hues that suggest mother-of-pearl, a tinge of amber, and the blue of an English sky come and go as the light varies.'

Fry, bean pot w/lid.   It appears that the manufacturer didnot complete the mother - of- pearl hue was not completed all the way to the bottom of the bean pot.  For that reason we have priced compensurate with its flaw.  This piece was produced in 1924 and the number on the bottom is 1924 - 1 1/2. The lid is marked 1924 -  1 1/2 pt.

Crystal

This is vintage crystal.  Most of this was produced before WW II.  All are beautiful and classic Pyrex, with the distinctive yellow tinge to the glass.  The etched pieces here were produced as early as 1918, and were discontinued by the 1940s.

These are the "classics" of Pyrex made by Corning Glass.  We have used many of these simply for display purposes even though they can still be used, especially for special occasions.

Etched lid.  This is #800, a 2 qt casserole lid.  Production of this was begun in 1927.

Sold!!

wpe60.jpg (20373 bytes)

Etched lid.  This is #622 or 506-C, a lid for a 1 qt round casserole.  It measures 7" across.   It has a beautiful floral and leaf design.  Production of this was begun in 1927.

Etched Casserole  This is #?? Round Casserole  This is a 1 1/2 qt round casserole with etched lid.  This etching on this lid is geometric.  It is #168, and was produced beginning in 1917!!  This casserole has no handles, and would fit nicely into a standard metal mounting which was popular at the time.
