FSFA's 2009 Annual
Convention will be held at O'Leno State Park,
in High Springs, Florida - October 16-18, 2009.
2009 Special guest artists: Bruce Greene & Loy McWhirter

The Annual Convention also features some of Florida's finest fiddlers, bands, concerts,
dances, callers, jams, workshops, and a
String-Band Contest (home-baked
pie required for entry).

REGISTER ON-SITE on Friday 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
and Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the FSFA registration table.
Cash and checks only. Registration includes primitive
bunkhouse camping. Bunkhouses do NOT have restrooms, and are not
climate controlled. If you prefer to stay in the campground, please see
"Accommodations" below.
Meals are not included,
but there will be a separate ticketed catered dinner on Saturday night (see
below). Dinner tickets may be purchased on-site. You do not have
to be a member of FSFA to attend.

HOMEMADE pie or cake entries for
the Stringband contest are required! We're proud of our
long-standing tradition of HOME
MADE PIES being required as entry fee into the Stringband Contest.
Thanks for keeping up the tradition, fiddlers!
First place band gets last pick
of the pies, and so forth. Ribbons are awarded to First, Second, and
Third place band members. Pick-up bands are strongly encouraged.

ACCOMMODATIONS
O'Leno State Park features a lovely
campground facility with full hook-ups available for tent campers and RV's, hot
showers and restroom facilities. O'Leno also offers
primitive bunkhouse accommodations.
(note: the bunkhouse area and camping area are not located together -
NO camping is allowed in the bunkhouse area.) Reservations for the
campground (Magnolia Loop) can be made through Reserve America via O'Leno State Park's website at http://www.floridastateparks.org/oleno/default.cfm
Camping is $15 per night.
Bunkhouse accommodations are included with your Annual Convention fees and
cannot be reserved in advanced.
Bunkhouses are first-come, first served!

OTHER FACILITIES
O'Leno State Park offers a wood-floor dance hall /
auditorium, an open-air covered pavilion, heated and air conditioned Dining
Hall, and several covered picnic pavilions. There is also a
swimming/fishing dock with river access, and several rest-room/shower
facilities located in both the bunkhouse and campground areas.

FRIDAY NIGHT POT-LUCK AND
SATURDAY NIGHT CATERED DINNER
Friday night
features a pot-luck supper in the Dining Hall. Bring your favorite dish
to share with others, meet, greet, enjoy.
If you don't feel like cooking
on Saturday night, you can purchase tickets for the catered dinner.
Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for children. Vegetarian options
will be available. Tickets may be purchased on-site at the FSFA
Registration Table.

Take I-75 (north or south)
to US 441 (exit 78).
Just look for the O'Leno signs. Go west on 441 and
follow the signs to the park
(a few miles down on your left). Please note that the park closes its
gates at sundown, so if you're going to arrive late you'll need to call ahead
to get the gate combination.
