Camping
& Cabin Information
RV & Pop-Up Camping: RV & pop-up camping is $24 per day, with full water & electric hookups. If you are RV camping please call Otter Springs to reserve your space in advance (352-463-0800 or 800-883-9107). A deposit for RV reservations is required. The best RV sites that are closest to the tent camping areas are numbers 108-110 or 58-60 or 34-41. (see highlighted map). No RV’s or pop-ups of any kind allowed in the group tent area - but these RV sites are close to the group tent sites.
Tent
Camping: There is a group tent camping area for FSFA
that has been reserved exclusively for our group (please note
that the group camping area will be in a different location
starting in 2012 - look for signage when you arrive). Tent
campers do not need to reserve space in advance.
Specific sites are not pre-assigned. You just select your
site when you arrive. We will have a sign pointing to the
group camp area(s). There are NO electric hookups in
the tent camping area – just water. Some sites have picnic
tables and fire rings. The group camping area is nice and
shady, and is close to the spring, the bath house, the pool, and
the Lodge. Tent campers using this group area pay no
camping fees! You only have to register with FSFA
(registration table outside the Lodge) and pay the usual weekend
convention fees. (note: if you don't want to camp
in the group camp area and will be tent or RV camping, please
call Otter Springs to make reservations). ALL CAMPERS
(RV'S AND TENTS) PLEASE CHECK IN FIRST AT THE MAIN OTTER
SPRINGS OFFICE WHEN YOU ARRIVE BEFORE SETTING UP CAMP OR REGISTERING AT
THE FSFA REGISTRATION TABLE.
Cabins:
There are a few small cabins (including bathroom/shower and
kitchen - sleeps up to 4) available for $65 per night.
Besides these cabins there is a stilt house available for
rent. The stilt house is $85 per night, and it sleeps up
to 6 people. The stilt house is a bit further away than the
other cabins & tent area, but not a bad walk. To
reserve cabins or the stilt house you need to call the park to
make reservations and pay a deposit in advance. Otter
Springs Phone: 352-463-0800 or 800-883-9107 (see
map for cabin locations). Linens are also available
from Otter Springs for $10. Otherwise, you need to bring
your own linens.
Friday Night Potluck Dinner and all Saturday
Events
The Lodge building will be used for all of our organized events, such as the Friday potluck dinner, concerts, stringband contest, dance, Saturday catered dinner, and annual meeting. There are plenty of tables & chairs available, and there is a small kitchen for our use during the festival. The Lodge also has a huge wrap-around covered porch with seating (great for jams!).
Check-In/Out Times
All
campers may check in beginning at 3:00 pm on Friday, October
15th. Check-out time on Sunday is 12:00 noon. Please
be sure to leave your camp-site as you found it, and help us
make sure everything is cleaned up and back in place.
