This lake is a local phenomenon, it goes dry from time to time and right now, it's pretty dry. It will prolly stay that way until we get some rain.. The Cypress Trees are the really neat thing about this area, they tend to give it a surreal look. To access this area go north on Capital Circle from the airport. After the Orange Ave. intersection look for the Dollar Rent-a-Car. Just past that you will see a dirt parking area on the west side of the road, park there, you can't miss it. If you get to Cascade Drive you have gone too far... So, let's get down to it, here are some images I captured will hiking there recently..

This area is great for hiking, biking, fishing, and just hanging around. If you get down there let me know how it went.
