2007 Results

Oregon State sweeps North Carolina in the finals.
An astounding repeat for the 6th place team in the Pac-10.

OSU was unranked by Baseball American and 29th by Collegiate Baseball at the start of the tournament, slipping in as a 3rd seed at 34 in the RPI.

Updated Dec 2010:
Records and results now reflect the wins vacated by Arizona State (44 wins involving an athlete who was illegally recruited by former coach Pat Murphy) as a result of NCAA sanctions. I have corrected the records and inserted a "v" where a winning score would appear. Normally a team will just leave a blank where the W would be, but my notational scheme does not allow for that distinction.

The seedings and standings are structured to reflect the fact that we have, in effect, a structure identical to a pair of regionals feeding into a best 2-of-3 super regional for the championship.

Record and poll rankings are from after the Super Regionals, before CWS. Note, however, that Baseball America did not produce a poll after June 5, which was before the Super Regionals.
The ranking produced by Boyd Nation before regional play is listed under ISR, while that after the regionals is under ISR'.
Important note: The ISR for Louisville is the lowest in the 10 years that Boyd has been generating his rankings. (The first year the ISR appears in my records is 1998, the last year of the 48-team playoff system.) The previous record was 110 (increasing to 112) held by SW Missouri St in 2003. However, the pRPI of SWMoSU was 61, much worse than the 44 of Louisville. The other difference is that SWMoSU got BBQ'd, which Louisville managed to avoid by eliminating Mississippi State.
