LSU crushes Texas to win its SIXTH national championship in baseball.
There is some irony in the fact that they beat Texas to pull into a tie
with Texas for 6 championships.
National #2 seed Fullerton (#1 in RPI and ISR) is first ! to go home, joined by
Southern Miss, an upset winner at Ga. Tech and at National #8 seed Florida.
The seedings and standings are structured to reflect the fact that we have, in effect, a structure identical to a pair of regionals feeding into a best 2-of-3 super regional for the championship.

The ranking
produced by Boyd Nation before regional play is
listed under ISR, while that after the regionals is under ISR'.
