South Carolina beats N6 seed UCLA to win its
first national championship in college baseball.
Arizona State is the first nationally seeded #1 team to go 0-2 since
the current tournament format was created in 1999.
The seedings and standings are structured to reflect the fact that we have, in effect, a structure identical to a pair of regionals feeding into a best 2-of-3 super regional for the championship.
