South Carolina sweeps Florida in an all-SEC championship series
to take its second NCAA championship in a row.
First teams eliminated were Texas and Texas A&M, both of the Big 12.
Three of the final 4 teams were from the SEC, plus one from the ACC.
Records:
South Carolina becomes the first team ever to win 11 games in a row at the CWS (two seasons).
South Carolina has also won a record 16 straight post-season games (regional and CWS).
The seedings and standings are structured to reflect the fact that we have, in effect, a structure identical to a pair of regionals feeding into a best 2-of-3 super regional for the championship.

Baseball America has not updated its poll since 5/30, the end of the regular season.
The ranking
produced by Boyd Nation before regional play is
listed under ISR, while that after the regionals is under ISR'.
