Nuclear Physics Help Page

If you got here, you already know how to use your Web browser. We will just remind you that most browsers provide a button or a hot-key that will take you back to the page you just came from. That is the best way to exit this help document, although you can also use the menu bar below to go directly to a particular part of this hyper-textbook if you have gotten lost.

Normally you will use hyper-links (highlighted text) within a page to get a definition of a word you do not know or to learn more detail about some subject. You can use the menus described below to jump directly to another part of this document, follow a tour, or explore an area at random. Remember that you can use your 'back' key to retrace your steps.

Menu Bar

A menu bar, like the one shown immediately above, is displayed near the top or bottom of every page in this hyper-textbook. Select one of these items to move directly to: This menu was designed so that all related items will fit on a single line when viewed with most graphical browsers. It may wrap to another line if your fonts are larger than the ones used to review these documents, but it should always look pretty much like it does on this page.

Alternate Menu Bar

Some pages provide a self-contained tutorial or tour of some aspect of nuclear physics. In this case the main menu bar may be moved to the bottom of the page and replaced with a menu bar that provides a means to jump around easily within that tutorial.

Second Row of the Menu Bar

Some pages provide a second row of menu selections that take you directly to a another page at the same 'level' as the current page. These selections may not take you to every possible page at that level, but do allow you to jump quickly to a different subject.
