• I'm a native of Berkley, Michigan, a small suburb of Detroit, graduated from Berkley High School in 1971 and Michigan State University in 1981.

• When I'm not writing, I'm usually goofing around with my computer, surfing the Web, or doing volunteer work.
  
  
• My husband and I have a small flock of pet birds; four Quaker Parakeets, a cockatiel, and a small flock of Zebra finches.
