I have experience in all aspects of the music business: performance, creative, composer, legal, live-studio production, product managment, marketing director liaison, A & R, promotions and publishing for film, TV, CD, tape and albums. The following delineates my education, experience, and accomplishments. I hope it shows you my deep love for and enjoyment of music -- and what I could do to help YOU become the musician you aspire to be!


Education/Degree	University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill 1967-71/Bachelor of Arts
Professional Training/Education	BMI, ASCAP classes and seminars; Songwriters Guild Member; 10 years of Copyright Conference meetings including publishing; contracting; music supervision; licensing; film and TV; music theory; studies in Jazz, piano, drums, guitar, vocals; teaching for 32 years; songwriting with Jack Segal at Songwriters Guild. ACCOMPLISHMENTS: MUSIC BUSINESS, FINANCE AND EDUCATION Professional Musician	Drums, guitar, theory, studio, live performance, tours contractor, band leader, live theater, comedy, songwriter, composer, film, TV, commercials, jingles, Pop, Jazz, Rock, etc.
Publisher	Produced, composed, recorded and placed over 40 compositions on films, TV, CD records, tape.
Educator	Have instructed numerous students in songwriting, drums, bass, guitar, keyboard, rhythm notation, vocals, theory, in-concert work; provided clinics on performance and classes on contracts (publishing for film, song, instrumental).
Marketing Coordinator/ Director	For 3 AC (Gavin up- and-coming for 5 weeks); worked with sales reps to get product in retail and on radio.
Product Manager	Interfaced with all industry A & R reps to promote productions of songs and artist performers for production company: Steve Reid's Sonic Jungle & Slam Shack; 48 track recording and production studio (2 years); phone work: developed extensive personal contacts with majors and Indies; set up A & R meetings and initiated dealmaking process.
Music Director	Bridges Academy (2002-2005) where I revived a failing music program; taught gifted students guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, vocals, rhythm, songwriting, concert production. Four gifted students were accepted into Berklee College of Music and to the USC Thornten Music Program. Three 2-hour concerts were performed successfully.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE	1992 - Present: Teacher, songwriter, promoter, product manager, producer: Moyer Music Publishing; collaborator, inventor, product designer, founder/director of California Band and Music Academy featuring the Creative Arts Music Project. 1980-1992: Published songwriter, ASCAP member, educator, SAG member, song producer, music contractor. 1971-1979: Studio and live performance musician; staff composer at Sounds Reasonable Studios, Washington, DC; producer/composer for film, records and commercials; private music instructor: drums, guitar, bass and theory.
