Our House and Antennas
Avon Park, Florida is a small town about 65 SE of Tampa and 70 miles S of Orlando. It is in the center of the state equidistant (approx 65 miles)from the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. We are located on the Lake Wales Ridge 115 feet above sea level.
Our house, taken in the fall when most of the leaves are off the Oak trees. Our small, but productive, citrus grove is just to the left of the house. We have several varieties of oranges, tangerines and grapefruit.
We just completed building a screen porch on the rear of the house. Here is looking across the porch to our pool.

Here is Karen, W4JA, at the 60 foot level on our second tower. The second tower is at the corner of our vegetable garden. The sprinkler system for the garden keeps the base of the tower and the 160 meter radials moist.
