FAUCETS

There are faucets for kitchen sinks, lavatories, bathtubs, showers, laundry sinks, and scads of other applications where people need water on tap.  And for each one of these applications, you can choose from cheap faucets made of plastic or high quality faucets made of chrome-plated brass, in either single-lever or two-knob varieties.

What I have not been able to find is a faucet made from the ideal material for such an application: stainless steel.  Cast stainless steel products typically cost less than brass -- even brass without chrome plating -- and are far, far more durable and practical.  And if you somehow manage to ding it up, you can polish it up yourself with sandpaper and buff it out to make it look new again.
