I am a musician, having graduated summa cum laude from the State University of New York at Fredonia. I play, teach, and perform on the flute. I have been teaching flute privately at home for 30 years (Wow! Did I say 30 years?)

I teach flute and Native American flute at Northwest Florida State College (formerly known as Okaloosa-Walton College).

I conduct the flute choir, .

I belong to the National Flute Association and the Florida Flute Association

I play principal flute in the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, and have since its inception 20 years ago. I also am the principal flutist in 2 other regional orchestras here: The Emerald Coast Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Dr. David Ott, and the Sinfonia Gulf Coast.

I am a member of the Silver Strings Trio. It consists of flute, violin, and cello. We play weddings, receptions, and other similar events. I also play in Duo Dolce, a flute/guitar duet.

Check out the very best Flute site on the Web: Larry Krantz Flute Pages.

Visit my pet projects: The FLUTE Pronunciation Resource which contains sound files of difficult to pronounce, flute-related names. And visit the Extended Techniques Resource which came to fruition thanks to the generous assistance of Robert Dick.

I also am very involved in Musical Echoes, Ft. Walton Beach's premiere Native American Flute Festival.
