WHAT ABOUT THE BIBLE? The Bible was written over a span of about 2000 years. It contains 66 books written by 40 different authors. Yet there is not a single contradiction found in it. Writers of the Old Testament completely concur with New Testament writers hundreds of years later on all subjects (remember they had no internet search engines!). Put 41 of the best theologians in a room today and have one of them speak on a biblical subject while the others take notes. Then compare the various interpretations and impressions. Given the chance, you would have a debate that would test their characters! By human nature, people just don't seem to agree about very much of anything. Maybe the Bible does not contain the element of _human nature_! I, and many Christian brothers and sisters believe that these 40 authors of the Bible were inspired by God to write _His_ words down. There is one thing that comes natural to man and that's making mistakes, i.e. "To err is human." Of the hundreds of prophesies in the Bible, all the ones whose time has come, have come true exactly as predicted. Do you realize the probability of this? It would be like one person winning the Florida Lottery jackpot 26 weeks in a row. It is 1 in 10 to the power of 28 chances! There is no word for that number. I heard there is a billionaire somewhere (Chicago I think) who for years has offered one million dollars to anyone who can prove one thing in the Bible wrong. He hasn't paid off yet! There are prophesies yet to be fulfilled, and one in particular that you, if you are not saved, should be concerned about. "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we (saved Christians) who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). Those who do not know the Lord as their Savior may be sure that: "If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:15) If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, your name IS NOT in the _book of life_!
