There was no change in the treasury since the previous meeting. The Club’s liability insurance policy has been paid and provides coverage until 11/30/05.
Repeater up-date: Buster has spoken with Pete at Cumulus Broadcasting who will try to assist with seeking approval for space on their 450 foot tower. We have received an ok from the station to locate their but still must have the tower owner’s permission.
Ed has reworked the Internet Site and included a Current Events section. Visit it at Also, send Ed info and items of interest to be posted.
John reported that the next testing session will be January 11 at the Shriner’s Club. Those interested in testing need to bring a picture ID, any CSCEs, the original and a photo copy of any license the person now holds and the testing fee. (The fee is $14 as of January 1st.)
It was reported that last year’s Field Day results were in the November QST. SPARC had 1326 points and a really good time. (Mark your calendars for June 25-26, 2005 and decided what you want to do!)
Old Business Items:
1. Tower and Generator maintenance work will be planned for mid-January.
2. Civil Air Patrol – no one has returned Greg’s calls
3. Christmas in Sopchoppy will be December 4th and SPARC will have a special events station.
4. Volunteer Fire Department antennas – 3 have been installed. SPARC we await commitment/assistance from VFD before installing others.
Elections – Ed, Greg and Judy will continue to serve in the same capacity as they have previously. At present the office of president is vacant. This item will be carried under old business on the agenda for the December meeting. It is hoped that someone will assume this position for the coming year. The meeting was adjourned at 8:45.
