Hello, and welcome to Tanzbär Rottweilers. My husband and I have been involved in the breed since 1998, when we purchased our first bitch, Stentfen's Eva Brawn v Adolfe CGC, TDI, TT, from a wonderful breeder in Alachua, Florida. Eva, or "Poohbear" as she's affectionately known has propelled us into the hobby of purebred dogs, and we've been along for the ride ever since!

We chose the Rottweiler as our breed, because we feel that the Rottweiler exemplifies the term "all around dog".   Rottweilers may not be top dog in every venue they try, but their overall ability to turn on and off when asked, and their versatility and stability of temperament when well bred, properly socialized and trained is quite impressive.

My interests lie in training, conformation showing (AKC and Sieger venues) and occasional breeding. My husband's interest lies in pampering our dogs. We are members in good standing with The American Rottweiler Club. I am a member of DVG America, and serve as Secretary for the Moccasin Gap Working Dog Club, a DVG affiliate. In addition, I teach a very progressive puppy program through Capital Canine, LLC, also located in Tallahassee.

We strongly believe that stable temperament is affected by both nature and nurture. Our breeding stock is carefully evaluated and health tested. When we do breed, our pups are well socialized via the use of the Biosensor Program, daily handling, and interspecies introduction. They are reared in our home, and subjected to mild stresses that help to ensure our pups are more than ready to join their new families in the adventures that lie ahead for them!

We feel that it is our responsibility to educate people in the importance of proper research prior to buying a new canine companion. Adding a dog to your life should not be a spur of the moment decision. Many people put more research into buying a car or toaster oven than they do a living companion. The Rottweiler, by nature is a working breed dog. They are known for their strong temperament, and often boisterous behavior. The Rottweiler is not a breed suitable for every home.

Since we only breed occasionally, we can refer you to other Ethical Breeders and offer research advice, and are more than happy to do so to assist you in finding the best possible canine companion, whether it's a Rottweiler, or another breed suitable for your experience level and lifestyle.

Thank you for visiting Tanzbar Rottweilers, enjoy your stay, and enjoy our dogs... we do!
